A History of Pinstriper Charity Events

From 2004-2016, some of our nation's most renowned and respected pinstripers, sign painters, and automotive artists have donated their time and talent for Detroit's Charity Auction and Panel Jam at AutoRama and raised over $250,000 for charity. The concept originated in 2003 at the Milwaukee World of Wheels Show. Gathering annually, that Milwaukee group, known as the "Pinstripe Legends", has raised over $170,000 to date for charitable organizations in the Brew Town area. In Chicago, The Chicago Brushmasters started in 2008 and $50,000 was raised during their three day Kustom Kulture Art Charity Auction event.

2016 AutoRama Pinstripers' Charity Panel Jam
hosted by the Motor City Auto Art Mavens

Over 100 of the Midwest's top custom painters will be on hand to attend the 2015 Charity Auction and Panel Jam. These artisans will produce hundreds of hand painted automotive artforms. They'll include a vast array of motorsports and automotive-themed projects, custom painted panel art, accessories and faux vintage signs. These projects will be auctioned off Friday, Saturday and Sunday. There will be something at the Charity Art Auction for every motorsport enthusiast. The Leader Dogs will be on hand with representative puppies and dogs.

How You Can Help

Because 100% of the auction proceeds are donated directly to Leader Dogs for the Blind, the Mavens will need the support of businesses and individuals to make this Charity Auction a success.

Contributions of automotive body panels, bike tanks and fenders, metal sign blanks and any other motorsports and Detroit related items or memorabilia that can be transformed into custom painted artforms would be greatly appreciated. All contributors large and small will be listed on a Sponsors Banner throughout the weekend at AutoRama. The Motor City Mavens and Leader Dogs hope that you can join us to help make this event a very special one. Your generosity, along with the talent of the Maven artists will help make this a memorable weekend for blind individuals and their families who depend on Leader Dogs to enable them to participate in an active and mainstream life. Your consideration and generosity are greatly appreciated.

Thank you,
The Motor City Auto Art Mavens
